Jehovah-Shalom:
The Lord Is Peace

Theos ... a serenade

The King's kids

When we realize it is God who made us and not we ourselves. That we are:

  • the sheep of His pasture
  • that the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord

then what does it matter what man might say. This is when real meekness toward God gives us strength in the face of our foes. Then we will not bow to the whims and wishes of those about us. We will not react to their frustrations because we know we have been accepted by the Maker of the universe and our steps are ordered by Him. Therefore, criticism does not affect us and revenge is foreign to our character.

Have you wondered about God's love, while the world is crumbling around you. Are you uncertain or unable to see beyond the decay of society. Has the glimmer of hope faded into obscurity and given little or no reason to believe in yourself. Is the burden too heavy ... while the urge of the dark side entices with an eerie emotion that haunts each and every turn of the way. And then again, is God's love truly unconditional.

Should the enemy come to torment you of your past: remind him of his future. He is an unemployed cherub that was removed from his position as a worship leader in heaven, and he hangs out with other losers called fallen angels. Remind him that his obituary is already written and his final destination is the lake of fire. When your sins are brought up, speak up and confess: "I am forgiven by the blood of Christ, and the accuser has no evidence against me in Christ's name."

Our special relationship as "King's kids" have given us the honour of being a son/daughter of His royal majesty.

"Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light on my path."

There have been Christian movements based on hypothetical teachings that have, at the time, become predominate in popular view. An example is the "latter rain" teaching of a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit just prior to the rapture. This is a viewpoint that has caused a sleepy attitude in the church on waiting and enjoying life with the expectation, that once the revival begins — the church will awaken to the call of duty. And therefore, the scripture parable about the ten virgins is ignored. Several years ago, I read a book called  "A Whisper Revival" and have seen other insights, which would have me consider that a wake-up shock will occur after the rapture.
